AUSSIES ROCK !!

Full marks to the resilient Queenslanders for the way in which they coped with their recent flood disaster. Most of us Zimbos have friends and families in Australia and we have been with them with our hearts in our mouths at their plight.

The Brisbane River is no stranger to our family, SheHoo- Must-Run lived in an apartment a stone's throw away from the river, what that apartment looks like today I dread to think. We would run along the river every morning and often catch the River Cat across to South Bank. I wonder what it looks like now ? Southbank, once the epicenter of fine wining and dining in Brisbane was meters under water and many of the buildings and infrastructures were washed away by the raging torrent. Stories of bravery, heroism and caring came pouring forth from Australia's East Coast and as a Nation, they came through with flying colours.

We saw horrifying pictures of the floods, the total devastation inflicted on people and possessions, by the furious flood waters, but we also saw the outpouring of comradeship, friendship and empathy that the Queenslanders distributed amongst each other.

But within days it was "business as usual" - my own God Daughter worked in one of the tallest and one of the first to be flooded, buildings in the CBD. However the entire office staff of this prestigious of legal firm is now working comfortably in the Sofitel Hotel, which graciously opened its doors to the city folk. Sherrie, soon to be a mother, rather likes working at the Sofitel, as they ply the para-legals with all sorts of tasty delicacies all day long !

Elsewhere Queenslanders cleaned, carted, trashed and shoveled the mud from the houses, firms and warehouses, of their neighbours, friends or even total strangers. It would appear that the insurance companies were the only people to come out of it all with smelly mud on their faces !!

The Premiere of Queensland, Anna Bligh is to be commended, although no doubt her popularity will wane when the real brunt of the floods are felt. Talk of interest hikes, flood-tax and petrol increases does not curry favour with the folk on the West Coast, who have been on water rationing for a few years now !! But aid continues to pour in and Australia is lucky enough not to need to hold out a begging bowl to the international world.

Even the tennis players from the Australian Open (led by my favourite Andy Roddick), arranged a "Rally for Relief" which raised over two million dollars.

And as the floods venture further south we pray for all Australians and also for flood ravaged South Africa at this time.

Good on ya !! You Aussies rock !!

EXAM RESUTS ARE OUT !!
It is ten years since our last born left school, but I still get butterflies in my tummy on exam results day !! HeeHoo was up at 4 a.m. - internet primed and ready to roll just in case the school internet decided to sleep in. But it was not necessary, Girls' Colllege entire senior academic staff was already at their fleet of brand new state of the art computers, proudly notating some really exceptional results.
I chanced to pass by the school later in the day and felt the buzz, heard the buzz, the phones were ringing off the hook, and there were some very smiley faces outside the college today !!
Girls' College opened its brand new Business Study Centre on Friday night and girls, parents and some of the influential business people congregated to see this excellent facility.
Offering Pitmans, City and Guilds, Business Studies, Office Procedure, Desktop Publishing, Travel and Tourism, ICDL and Cambridge Business Diplomas amongst other subjects, the facility will be used to prepare young women for the vital job market in Bulawayo as the city is set to take off into the new economic boom. Girls' College would like to congratulate the following girls who had exceptional Cambridge Results.

THE ART OF LIVING - "Divine Thoughts"
Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions in your life.
What you speak about, you can bring about.
If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying you're broke, guess what? You'll always be broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life to hurt and betray you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed.
If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, your very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.
If you keep talking about a divorce or break up in a relationship, then you might end up with it.
Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power-packed with faith, hope, love and action.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve.
Watch your Thoughts, they become words.
Watch your Words, they become actions.
Watch your Actions, they become habits.
Watch your Habits, they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny.
The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settle for.
In the search for Me, I discovered Truth.
In the search for Truth, I discovered Love.
In the search for Love, I discovered GOD.
And in God, I have found Everything.
Be Blessed

Watch how your circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the way you speak. DIVINE THOUGHTS is the of ART OF LIVING !! PAB AND THE ACADEMY
CHARIOTS OF FIRE
Thursday 27 January in the Robert Sibson Hall at 7.30 p.m.
England's finest athletes have begun their quest for glory in the 1924 Olympic Games. Success brings honour to their nation but for two runners, the honour at stake is personal and the challenge one from within. Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Picture, Chariots of Fire is the inspiring true story of Harold Abrahams, Eric Liddell and the team that brought Britain one of its great sporting victories. Admission: $3.00
WEST SIDE STORY
Friday 28 January in the Robert Sibson Hall at 7.30 p.m.
N.B. NO supper interval The film of "West Side Story" was released fifty years ago in 1961 and won ten Academy Awards including "Best Picture 1961". Starring Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno and George Chakiris, it is a stunning piece of visual entertainment and has often been described as the best film musical ever made. It initiates a short season of stage works by Leonard Bernstein - further dates: Thursday 3 February Bernstein: Mass 7.30 p.m. Friday 4 February Bernstein: Candide 6.30 p.m. [introduced by Petroc Trelawny] Admission: $3.00 [free to Red Carpet members]
BERNSTEIN: MASS
Thursday 3 February in the Robert Sibson Hall at 7.30 p.m.
"Mass" is perhaps the most ambitious and controversial piece Leonard Bernstein composed and in no way a setting of the liturgy but a theatrical piece for a full symphony orchestra, marching band, rock group, electronic music, children's and adult choruses and a dance group. This performance was recorded live in 2003 in the Papal Audience Hall in Vatican City before an audience that included over thirty cardinals! Admission: $3.00 [free to Red Carpet members]
BERNSTEIN: CANDIDE
Friday 4 February in the Robert Sibson Hall at 6.30 p.m.
- with supper interval. Petroc Trelawny will introduce the DVD. "Candide" was Bernstein's child of sorrow, a Broadway musical based on Voltaire's novel that preceded "West Side Story" and flopped. It was over thirty years before its comic and musical genius were fully appreciated and this concert performance conducted by the composer was recorded in London only a few months before his death. "...the most exciting video I have come across this year." The Guardian Admission: $3.00 [free to Red Carpet members]
PETROC TRELAWNY TALKS ABOUT THE PROMS

Adams/Black - Ashley
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we... loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lesley, David, Catherine, Victoria Richard, Kevin and Warren
Sending special love Annette & Steve xxxx

The angels stopped and stooped down to do the bidding of our Heavenly Father and collected back our beloved child, Ashley Bellamy Black (nee Adams) at the Exeter Hospice at 5.50pm on Monday 17th January 2011 in the arms of her wonderful beloved husband Richard. You will always be a part of my heart and always in my thoughts. I love you child forever and forever. Fly on high now - go on in peace and without pain. You will be sorely missed child. "Be Still, and Know that I am God!"
Your adoring Mama.x

It is with great sadness that Ashley Bellamy Black (nee Adams) passed away on Monday 17th January 2011 - 5.50pm after battling a long fight against cancer. We will miss you terribly Ash words will never describe our loss our big sister now at rest with the Lord! Watch over us Ash - we love you so so very much - your devastated sisters -
Catherine & Victoria and your doting brother-in-law Kevin

"We little knew that day that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again".

On behalf of Sally, Sue ,Nicky and families I would like to express our sincere thanks to all the kind messages we have received after the passing of John Walden. Dad was a true gentleman, and was greatly loved and respected by all whom had dealings with him. We can remember him and only that he's gone Or we can cherish his memory and let it live on. (anon) . We will miss you Dad, but remember you with great pride that you were a fantastic Husband, Dad, grandfather and friend. Till we meet again, rest in peace Dad.
Ken Walden

In loving Memory of Sandra Elaine Nell who passed away peacefully on 24 Jan 2008 in Byo, Lovingly remembered by Kathy, Christine & Toby
If in one fleeting moment we could see you smile
We'd give up everything we have
So we could hold your hand for a while
We all love you so much
We miss you so badly
And we won't ever forget
The happy times that we shared
Remembering you is easy
We do it every day
Missing you is the hardest part
As it never goes away
To hear your voice.
To see your smile
To sit with you and talk for a while
Would be our greatest wish
Today, tomorrow, our whole life through
We shall always love and remember you.

In loving Memory of Sandra Elaine Nell, mother to Carl, Kim and granny to Michaela & Levi:
Softly within the shadows
God gave a gentle call
With farewells left unspoken
Mum, you silently left us all
Our hearts still ache with sadness and
Silent tears still flow
For what it means to love and miss you, Mum

From: Zimbabwe Pensioner Support Fund
mailto:pensupzim@vodamail.co.za

Wishing you a very prosperous 2011.
Well just a small update on what we are up to, Hannes has been in Zimbabwe since last week Thursday. He is busy getting all the permits and paperwork sorted for the upcoming year. Hoping we will have less "hold-ups" when we get to the borders after this trip. He should be back in Malelane by Wednesday this week. As usual I am busy sending out 1000's of mails trying to raise funds. We have the rental coming up on the Warehouse for the upcoming year and if we manage to pay it upfront we only have to pay for 10 months. So please keep your fingers crossed and get the word out there.
Please find in good order some updates on what is happening with the fund including the December 2010 trip report. We are currently supporting just over 1650 pensioners, this is about 40% of our target base.We supply food parcels to Old Age homes all over Zimbabwe. There are also numerous articles on the Web about our organization. We are an officially registered Non Profit Organization in South Africa and are registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organization in terms of section 18A the Income Tax Act (Which means all donations are issued with a Tax Certificate and can be claimed back). I have attached a short list of homes that we currently support in Zimbabwe. We also support SOAP in Bulawayo and have helped to set up a system similar to SOAP in Gweru, Zvishavane, Masvingo, Red Cliff, Kwe Kwe and Kadoma to cater for pensioners that are not in old age homes as well. Our web page is http://zpsf.terapad.com, all updates are also loaded directly onto our site. We also have a Face Book group as well, please look us up. We welcome anyone who wishes to come and see our warehouse and what we do.
I have attached various trip reports and articles relating to what we do and how it is achieved. We appreciate any and all support received as every little bit helps us to assist the people of Zimbabwe. Please if you have already supported us could you supply me with the details as we are battling to acknowledge all donations received and believe in acknowledging all support.
I would also appreciate it if you could forward this email around as any and all support is welcome. Please if you have already received this mail ignore it. We are currently in the process of updating our data base and contacting all people who have shown interest in the past.
Kind Regards

KidzCan's Vision: A compassionate world where children with cancer are given the chance to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
From a 2009 Kidzcan newsletter....

"Dear Friends, Donors and Champions
For the first time in 15 years, closure of KidzCan had become a real alternative. We have found ourselves working within the progressive breakdown of the health system, culminating in complete closure of the main hospitals from October 2008 onwards. It is only by the Grace of God and the supreme efforts and determination of a few dedicated doctors and medical staff that the children's wards in Parirenyatwa continued to function at all times. To our paediatric doctors and surgeons who simply refused to close the Pair paediatric wards - despite the fact that there were no staff to work with - I can never thank them enough. Lack of finances, lack of registration, lack of nursing staff, lack of medical supplies, drugs and doctors - major blocks at every turn we have tried to take. But then I ask myself "Can I stand in front of a child and parent on the ward, face to face and say I am too tired, I feel too defeated. My feelings of tiredness and negativity are nothing in comparison with what they face every day on that ward as they face and fight childhood cancer." Andrea Whatman 2010 was a good year for Kidzcan and I am pleased to report that it is still dedicated to meeting the needs of children with cancer in Zimbabwe.
A talk entitled "The Everests of Life" was given to the Heads' and Governors' Spouses at the CHISZ (Conference of Heads of Independent Schools of Zimbabwe) conference at Troutbeck in October 2010 - based on a mother's experiences of having her youngest son Josh diagnosed with cancer at the age of twelve in 2007/8, his subsequent recovery and a soul searching trip to Base Camp Mt Everest. Following this presentation the idea was proposed of having each scholar commemorate 2011 World Children's Cancer Day on the 15th of February 2011 - the idea being that all scholars wear something orange to school with their uniform (belt, tie, hat, socks, bandanna, tackies, etc) and get fined 1 usd for wearing something non uniform... and fined 1 usd if they don't wear anything orange! All proceeds collected go to Kidzcan (Andrea Whatman to be contacted - snoogie@utande.co.zw or Di Macklin -macklinzim@gmail.com mailto:-macklin@gmail.com or kidzcanzim@gmail.com).
Wonderfully positive responses from schools have been received and an adaptation of the talk "Life's Everests" was given to Mvurachena, Springvale and Ruzawi scholars in November 2010 about cancer - Josh's Mum's belief being that clear, age appropriate information about cancer is a vital part of children's education.... for often we hesitate to say the word "cancer" believing that it will be fearful for a child. It is adults who are frightened by the word. Children are remarkably adaptable and resilient when they are informed. Kidzcan Orange Day not only gives children the opportunity to do something meaningful for other kids but perhaps is a catalyst for talk in the classroom or home about cancer.
The challenge is to also get the corporate world involved and companies to support the KidzCan Orange Day - Tuesday 15th of February - World Children's Cancer Day - and to make this an annual event on the Zimbabwean calendar. Robin Sharma - a leadership guru who many in the corporate world may have heard of - talks in his book "Who will cry when you die?" of finding the six degrees of separation - the observation being that "every single person on the planet is separated by only six people. We are separated from the President of the United States by only six people. We are separated from a gondolier in Venice by only six people. Any person in the world is only six individuals away from us. It's a profound thought how every person is a new door, opening up into other worlds." So if you are CEO of your company and would like to adopt "KIDZCAN ORANGE DAY" the proposal is that everyone who wears orange (tie, hat, scarf, bandanna, socks, bracelet!) on World Children's Cancer Day Tuesday the 15th of February is fined one usd (and if they don't wear orange.... they can't win - they are fined 1 usd!) or the company makes a donation.
I know there are many charities out there that need support but cancer is something that affects us all at some stage in our lives and making our children aware of it through this initiative is a good thing. So Mums, Dads and children here's to accessorizing yourselves for work and school on Tuesday the 15th of February with something ORANGE!
For any further information, queries please contact Andrea Whatman (Founder of Kizcan : snoogie@utande.co.zw website: www.kidzcanzimbabwe.org http://www.kidzcanzimbabwe.org/ ) Di Macklin (macklinzim@gamilcom) or kidzcanzim@gmail.com
PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR WORK COLLEAGUES SO THAT ON TUESDAY 15TH OF FEBRUARY EVERYONE IS WEARING SOMETHING ORANGE!

8) Bulawayo News

Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has deferred the introduction of water rationing following reports that Umzingwane Dam alone now has water that can last the city two months, it has been learnt.
According to the latest council report, the BCC director of engineering services Simela Dube told councillors that Umzingwane Dam had received significant inflows.
"Umzingwane Dam has so far received significant inflows and currently stands at 5,2 cubic million litres, which could sustain the city for another two months," he said.
Dube said because of this, the water rationing programme had been shelved.
"The inflow into the dam is an increase of four cubic million litres and in light of this, the water rationing programme has not been implemented and it has been deferred until further notice."
BCC town clerk Middleton Nyoni advised that residents should use water sparingly.
Only four of the city's five dams are operational and the local authority's forecast is that within the next few weeks, Inyankuni and Umzingwane dams would be decommissioned if the rains do not continue to fall, leaving the city with two supply dams, Insiza and Lower Ncema.
The council report also revealed that water levels at Lower Ncema Dam had also dropped drastically. "The level of water at Lower Ncema Dam has also dropped drastically as a result of the leaking floodgate," states the report.
If anyone has an update please let us know ? Many thanks

MUSKETEERS LODGE which is situated 9kms from Bulawayo on the Matopos, is now under the management of Moira Rainsford and Rudi Gouma, who also has an excellent two-piece band. All rooms are ensuite and have DSTV. It is an ideal venue for weddings or business meetings with meals provided by an excellent chef.

RED WOOD, some 37km from Bulawayo on the Plumtree Road, is a complex comprising a supermarket and Butchery as well as a filling station. The main attraction is the beautifully lawned garden with thatched shelters where families can picnic or braai. It is also available for private and corporate functions. For further information tel (0283) 272/ 378. It has become very popular for family outings.

BAOBAB TEAK FURNITURE FACTORY has produced glossy colour leaflets displaying their wares and offering tours of their factory. Theses leaflets are being distributed everywhere - do follow their example. Tel 60319 or baobab@yoafrica.com if you want to tour or buy some of the furniture.

There is a new travel agency "on the block" in the Forestry Commission Building, Fife Street, opposite the police station. ELGIBOH TRAVEL AGENCY offers a wide range of travel services. Tel 0772364654. Also in that building is Ngamo Safaris, which has Ganda Lodge at Hwange and Jafuta Lodge at Victoria Falls

THE HORIZON, which is a new eatery cum night club, has newly opened at the top of Pioneer House, 8th Ave/Fife Street. There are now plenty of eating places in Bulawayo, with most of the sports clubs branching out - Hornung Park Sports Club, Busters, BAC bowls section, to mention a few.

The City Council has embarked on a massive tree planting exercise, mostly in the western suburbs and where there is need for trees. Council has also patch- tarred some of the roads including Haddon Avenue, Kumalo, which was full of potholes. People wishing to have a meal or even go for coffee at The Berry on 22 Haddon Ave, may do so without a problem. The house and garden are most attractive and the staff very friendly. Try their Arrigato drink, which is delicious.

Most of the lodges in the Suburbs have beautiful lawned gardens with swimming pools and Jacana Lodge even has a tennis Court. The BPA has available lists of all types of accommodation and restaurants and would be happy to give you information on advertising and publicity outlets.

Val Bell and her hardworking staff wish our members many blessings in 2011. Thought for the month - may we learn to be grateful and happy with what we have rather than yearning for what we don't have and wish to have.

As usual I sat down for my Tuesday night "Morning Mirror" fix (yes - missing my home town means I need my weekly "drugs"!). As I read the email and made my way through the "Pik my fro" moments I came upon the startling statistic that made my heart jump....4340 palliative and end of life visits made by the astounding people at Island Hospice in 2010. FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY....4...3...4...0...Tears came to my eyes immediately. That is 4340 hugs and kisses, 4340 reassuring messages, 4340 comforting glances, 4340 kind gestures, 4340 amazing acts of humanity. I am in awe and I applaud them with arms wide open and my heart full to the brim. They deserve Roses by the truckload and even as someone who does not live in Zimbabwe, I salute them, cap in hand.
Love as always to the amazing people of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe who shed light on so many lives just by their caring spirits.
Much Love, Gina Wilson

Pauling Road is not as bad as many of the roads in the city but it sure has some meanies!! This is operation pothole week, I hope the council does not mind ... I purchased some cement, sand and stone mix from Zimbabwe General Supplies at a good price and they also have that fast drying cement which I am sure will do the trick.
ZGS is in 11th Avenue and Josiah Tongogara. Telephone 889731. Pop along and see Hughie Squair for some advice. They gave me some advice on how to do my potholes too !!

Norway is world's most prosperous (happiest) country; Zimbabwe is the poorest (unhappiest)
"Most people would intuitively agree that 'prosperity' is not just about money but also about quality of life," Legatum stated.
"The Index defines prosperity as both wealth and wellbeing, and finds that the most prosperous nations in the world are not necessarily those that have only a high GDP, but are those that also have happy, healthy, and free citizens."
The ten most "prosperous" nations on earth, according to Legatum's system, are dominated by Western Europe. The top ten in order are" Norway, Denmark, Finland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden. Canada, Switzerland, Netherlands and the United States.
The least prosperous countries are mostly in Africa, in nations characterized by high rates of poverty, social chaos and severe political repression.
The ten least prosperous countries (in order) are: Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Central African republic, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Yemen, Kenya, Mozambique, Cameroon, and Zambia.

Is your son or daughter having difficulty with O or A Level Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry? Do the A Level classes contain 30 students rather than 10? Classes this size do not allow for much individual help. If so, I can coach your son or daughter in the above subjects, having had 35 years experience teaching these subjects. I take only one student at a time, which ensures that the student has individual attention and help. Are you having problems with expensive inflexible payrolls?
If so, I can develop an extremely reasonably priced tailor made payroll system for your business, mine, farm or institution.
I also offer computer courses in MS Windows operating system, MS Word word processing, MS Excel spreadsheet, MS Access database, MS Project Project Design, desk top publishing, AutoCAD computer aided design, MS Outlook Express e-mail, Internet browsing and search, Corel Draw, Corel PhotoPaint graphic design and digital photography.

WRIGHTS NURSERY NEWS LETTER 1/1/2011
Our January rains have been excellent so far. At mid-month I have recorded 150mm / 6", which brings our seasonal total to a little over 370mm / 15". We normally expect between 500 - 600mm per season and according to the weathermen we still have lots more rain to still come. We seem to have skipped over the "mid-season " dry spell that we traditionally have from after Xmas until mid-January and be experiencing what we normally find in February. This all makes for a good gardening start to 2011. Reports from fisherman at Inyankuni indicate that there has been a lot of water come into the dam and if any one else has any news of our supply dams let me know and I will pass it on.

WHAT TO DO IN JANUARY
The heavy rains also bring a number of problems and I have concentrated on some of these this month: Mow your lawns whenever you can as you do not know when the rains and Zesa will give you your next opportunity. The weeds are loving the wet weather and are growing very fast. They are easy to remove now and you should certainly try to catch them before they seed.
Your roses will be under greater threat form pests and disease as the rains keep washing off your sprays. Keep up with your spraying and try to use more systemic chemicals. All the lily family are likely to be attacked by the amaryllis worms so look out for them and spray with Dimethoate.
Black ants seem to be more numerous and you can dissuade them with clean products like borax of Jeyes fluid. Keep up with feeding your pot plants. Daisy bushes that were planted in March/April last year are now probably well over their best. You can cut them back very hard now and they will regenerate. You could also pull them out and start with new ones. Deadhead your Hydrangeas and cut them back to two nodes above the ground. Start preparing your sweet pea beds for planting at the beginning of February. Feed your fruit trees 2-3 Kgs of nitrogen per established tree so that they can build up for the next fruit season. With all the vigorous growth taking place now keep pruning and shaping your shrubs and trees.

ECO/ENVIRO
Last month I talked about how to balance your soils with both humus and nutrition. This month I want to look at what to have in you " Muti Cupboard". The list below is the basic minimum you will need to tackle the normal range of common garden problems in a safe way. Always remember to read the labels and see that you get the dosage right. Never just guess and pour. Wash your hands with soap after you have sprayed, stay upwind when spraying to you do not get chemical 'drift' onto you and do not smoke when spraying.

MUTI CUPBOARD.
1. One Litre Pressure Sprayer or Windolene type Sprayer (300 mls)
2. One small Syringe to measure 1- 5 mls volumes.
3. A pair of gloves to limit chemical contact with your hands.
Basic Insecticides: Malathion 50 - Green Label - Contact Dimenthoate : Red Label - systemic Mineral Oil/Orchex Basic Fungicides: Copper oxychloride Diathane M45 Special Fungicide Basic Herbicides: Lawn Weeder or MCPA - lawns Drive Weeder or Roundup - non-selective Basagran- nutgrass. There are many other products on the market but these are the ones I will most often refer to in the News Letter.

WHATS HAPPENING AT THE NURSERY
Dee Cavalharo will leave us at the end of January as she is retiring to join her remaining family in Gauteng. Dee has been with us for so long that I cannot work out how many years it has been since she first joined us at the old 12th Ave Wrights. We wish her well with her move and all the best for the future. Dennis Adams will take over as the shop manager and will be backed up by one or two new faces when things get busy.

FAQ'S
We have had many queries about lawn problems and this mainly relates to the surplus rainfall. Many lawns seem to develop all sorts of complaints and I have found that if your feeding as adequate just keep up with your mowing and weeding and things will sort them selves out once the sun shines again. Many customers are asking for Ammonium Nitrate to put on their lawns. I would caution against using this product and rather use a better balanced fertiliser like Comp J That's it for this month.
Happy Gardening.
