General Information
This is a non-profit site provided to promote the continent of Africa and its people. Its main purpose, to present a central source of links to the most popular sites, by region and continent as a whole.

Using the Site
Each site listed can be accessed by clicking the hypertext link appearing as the title of the site within the listings.

Voting
To vote for a site simply click the appropriate elephant image or word "Vote" next to the site you wish to vote for. You can cast one vote in each herd, excluding the main herd, whose votes come via their regional herd. Your voting will normally be limited to one per herd per month from any single IP address.

NOTE. When casting a vote for a particular site within a region, it can be one listed in the herd or the followers.
Ranking
After nomination, acceptable sites initially join the list of followers for the appropriate herd. Through popular voting listed sites can progress through the ranks of followers. If the leading follower of any regional herd exceeds the number of votes held by the lowest ranked herd member. They exchange places, resulting in the former leader of the followers joining the listed herd members, with the former herd member returning to the followers listing.

Progression within the regional herds again relies on popular voting. Entering the leading five of any regional herd provides site listing in the Main African Herd. Movement in and out of the main herd site listing is achieved in a similar fashion to that of moving between followers and regional herds.
